Tuolumne Meadows target (Mars)

This is a high-resolution Digital Outcrop Model of the Tuolumne_Meadows MAHLI target in the sulfate unit of Gale crater, Mars.

This model is made using only 6 photos taken by the MAHLI instrument positionned on the robotic arm of the Curiosity rover.

These images were taken on sol 4186, in May 2024, and are available on the JPL MSL Raw images archive.

This fine sandstone has been brushed by the Dirt Removal Tool (DRT) of the rover to reveal a fine-grained but pitted and fractured surface.
