Another preview of a bigger project, for fun of course!
You may notice on parts where there’s writing or diagrams, there’s some weird shading artifacts going on when the light hits them. That’s because the UVs are rotated compared to the rest of the physical geometry, and with our current crude 3d technology this creates problems.
Prime example of how stifling and limiting 3d art is (at least real-time) compared to traditional art, where it’s always “WYSIWYG”. Real time 3d art is chock full of limitations, hacks, workarounds, and a huge list of things you have to bear in mind if you want to actually make anything, it sure can be exhausting!
