Description: Calcite is one of the most common minerals. It occurs in a great variety of shapes and colors, and it constitutes a major portion of many of the earth’s rocks (including sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic).

This is a unique specimen of twin black Calcite spheres, which is well known worldwide that comes from Herja mine (Romania). The twin black Calcite spheres are formed of flattened Calcite rhombohedra associated with Pyrite and probably Jamesonite.
