仁井田双式来迎三尊図像摩崖仏
Period/Century : Kamakura period, dated 1329 (Karyaku 4)
To place Amida Nyorai(Amitabha) in the center for the religion, and place Kannon Bosatsu(Avalokitesvara) and Seishi Bosatsu(Mahasthamaprapta) on both sides of Amida Nyorai, the form is called Amitabha Triad. Amida Nyorai a Buddha leading the dead to paradise.Kannon Bosatsu represents “mercy” of Buddha, and Seishi Bosatsu represents “wisdom” of Boddha.
This is a priceless cultural treasure because two pieces of Amitabha Triad are carved on the rocky wall and you can see nothing else like these in Japan.
