The U-104 was a Mittel U class German submarine built in 1916 by Weser A. G., in Bremen Germany. The vessel was powered by diesel and batteries and measured 60m long, 6.3m across and 4m high. The submarine was owned by the Imperial German Navy – Kaiserliche Marine at the time of its’ loss. On 25th April 1918 the submarine was sunk by depth charges from the sloop HMS Jessamine. The shipwreck lies in 54.84m of water in St. George’s Channel south of Carnsore Point.
