More model informationThe UB-116 wreck site covers a small section of seabed in Scapa Flow, Orkney, Scotland. The wreck consists of the remains of a WW1 German submarine (U-Boat) sunk by remote mine in 1918 and subsequently destroyed by depth charges and later salvage efforts by the Royal Navy. None of its crew survived the intial sinking.
This feature appears to be the top of the conning tower; the remaining portion of the tower was reportedly salvaged. It is approximately 3 m wide and lies a short swim from the main wreckage.
