More model informationDuring the Spring 2018 semester, Mid-Pacific Museum Studies students worked with the Bshop Museum to scan several artifacts, including this Ukulele.
It was made by Agusto Diaz ca. 1881-2 and donated to the museum in 1989 by Mr. and Mrs. Jamie R. Imrie, granddaughter of Margaret Hunt. Margaret Hunt purchased the ukulele from Diaz’s show in Honolulu and later took it to California as a souvenir in 1889-90.
Bishop Museum inspires our community and visitors through the exploration and celebration of the extraordinary history, culture and enviorment of Hawai’i and the Pacific.
