A alternate species concept I had in mind for a while derived of several inspirations. I had some kind of thing in mind reminiscant of the “Falmer” from Skyrim but distinctivly more imposing and voodo-esque or something. I invisioned some kind of “black mold” sorcery pretaining to these guys hence the moist black stains and decals throughtout, reminiscant of their intended dark, damp cavernous habitat deep beneath the earth. But yeah that was basically the whole idea
