There are no statutory depths for underground cables, as ground levels may have changed since the original installation and without the knowledge of the cable owner. The measurements in this table are a guide.

When assessing traffic on-site; don’t assume it’s all about roads. A pavement is accessible to traffic and so is a ploughed field.
