This was an interesting learning curve scanning this subject as there were a number of issue I had to work through.. It is in the shallow portion of the quarry which is frequented by not only schools of fish…but also classes of student divers. That means I encountered a handful of dives where the trout simply would not get out of my way. Couple that with dive instructors keeping their classes way too close to the bottom (not the students fault as they don’t know but shame on the number of instructors I saw doing it…but I digress) and it didn’t take long for that whole portion of the quarry to get blown out.
In addition, the port side is positioned in such a way that a massive shadow is ever present. That taught me a lot about dealing with huge shadows and how it really can screw up a lot of rendering time. I shot the inside and am going to mesh the “chunks” in an effort to do a fly-thru…more forthcoming....
