More model informationFibula brooch in urnes style, reimagined as a pendant. This object was found by Danish metal detectorist Allan Hansen. Depicting a mythological beast with two legs and a long twisting and branching tale. This motif often has a secondary animal which intertwines and seemingly fights the larger main beast. Some times this secondary animal is reduced to look almost like a robe, other times it has clearly defined facial features. Notice the large spiral on the main beast, this spiral is often featured in places so as to indicate movement.
