USF Bull statue on Holly Drive3D Model
Description: Statue of a bull in its regal stance located on Holly Drive on the USF Tampa campus, erected in 2018. This is a replica of the statue located in the fountain at the Marshall Student Center Plaza, which was created and designed by The Resource Factory in 2008. That statue is made of concrete with a metallic bronze paint. The bull is USF’s official mascot. The mascot had originally been the Golden Brahman (brahman are a type of cattle raised in Florida) and this choice was made to represent the state’s strong connection to cattle raising. However, the mascot was simplified to the Bulls in the 1980s. This particular statue is reminiscent of the bull in the new USF Academic logo which was unveiled in 2018.
