This large, carved rock is a few metres to the west of the Map (Rock 1) and was only discovered suring the excavations of 2005. It was beneath a pile of rocks accumulated from centuries of nearby field clearance. Rock 7 is 25m long and 10m wide and displays hundreds of individual petroglyphs, mixed through the the extended geometrical structure of rectangles & squares enlosing cup rows, all connected by lines.
In addition to the figures, there are also several footprints, isolated deep cup marks and occasional animals. The human figures are carved in various manners, and constitute a complete catalogue of the range styles used through the first milennium BC.
The map theme was conceived as a single unit and is clearly connected closely with the Mappa Bedolina (Rock 1). It covers the whole bedrock for some metres and sometimes fits with the actual shape of the surface. The geometrical composition on Rock 7 is the largest of its kind discovered up to now in Valcamonica. It from about 1000-400 BC.
