Vasa is a Swedish warship built between 1626 and 1628. The ship foundered after sailing about 1,300 m (1,400 yd) into its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. After 333 years on the seabed the mighty warship was salvaged. Today Vasa is the world’s only preserved 17th century ship and the Vasa museum is the most visited museum in Scandinavia.
The model is made from 20 000 photographs and shows the hold that is the deck closest to the keel.
