More model informationVentifact from the western Nefud Desert of Saudi Arabia. The specimen was found whilst on an archaeological expedition to the region in collaboration between with Max Planck Institute, Oxford University, and The University of Queensland.
Although it looks like it might have been shaped by humans, the specimen is abiotic. Ventifacts form when an existing rock is shaped by wind-blown sands or ice crystals.
