Vintage brass blow torch with red wood handle, made by the Turner Brass Works of Sycamore, Illinois U.S.A. The Turner Brass Works made torches beginning in 1871, with this particular kind of torch dating from c. 1920s - 30s. “A pint torch for general light work, constructed with our improved automatic brass pump in the tank. The burner is made of heavy bronze, which is strong and durable. For electricians, painters, etc., we guarantee it to give perfect satisfaction.”—description from the 1905 Turner Brass Works catalog. The artifact is from the Giunta Homestead, a National Register of Historic Places site and Landmark site in the City of Tampa, Florida.
