The Isles of Canna & Sanday are the westernmost of the Small Isles archipelago, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. This detailed 3D model was captured by Scottish mapping firm Geo.Geo, working alongside NTS and the local communities on Canna, to bring you this virtual tour of the Isles. Combining geospatial technologies with traditional storytelling, with a 1955 BBC recording of Margaret Fay Shaw’s “Portrait of an Island” by Lord Campbell alongside traditional music from the Isles, to let you explore Canna & Sanday as you’ve never seen them before!
Now optimised for mobile viewing, this textured mesh model is not fully representative of the accuracy and detail of the original high resolution 3D point cloud data captured but has been published in this way so that it can be now viewed on any mobile device!
