Visored Bascinet Helmet

Recration of helmet circa 1380-1420. The Bascinet was one of the most highly used helmet styles in Europe during the 14th and Early 15th century. Designed with sweeping angular features to deflect both arrow and close combat weapons. This bascinet is a replica of the Schloss Bascinet from the Armory at Churgurg 1395-1410. Note the strap securing the visor which is a modern addition for sport combat safety.
