More model informationThis is a proof of concept to project textures from volume renderings of computed tomography scans onto segmented bones to create a realistic looking texture based on the raw CT data. The cranium is from the Terry Collection via scans made available by Lynn Copes.
The cranium was segmented in 3D Slicer; the CT volume was converted to a vdb with Paraview. The vdb was imported into Blender, a custom shader was applied, and several camera shots were rendered and projected onto the segmented cranium model.
I am still refining the workflow and will post a tutorial soon once I am finished.
