This is an animated voxel art tribute to Spanish romantic painter Francisco Goya (1746 - 1828), and one of his famous painting, Saturn Devouring His Son (1819 - 1823). Saturn, originally Cronus in Greek mythology, learned that he was destined to be overcome by his own sons, just as he had overthrown his father. So he devoured all his children (except Zeus) as soon as they were born to prevent the prophecy. But of course no one can escape their destiny, and he was overcome by his own sons.
