VTFR - 140, Bessette vessel 1. Both vessels 1 and 2 “exhibited smoothed exterior surfaces and probably smoothed lip surfaces, the interior surface treatment differed. This vessel demonstrated a scraped and channeled interior surface made with a toothed object. This vessel exhibits dentate stamping which covers most of the vessel’s exterior. The tool used to apply the decoration had approximately 11 square teeth. This tool was both vertically impressed and pressed at an angle to make the decoration. There is some evidence that the tool was also used in a dragging motion. This vessel exhibits a slightly everted rim and a pointed lip. It had a globular-shaped base. Its height is estimated to be 16cm, and its oral diameter is 13.7cm. (Thomas, Carter, Florentin).” POT7014-DS. This vessel provided for scanning by Vermont State Archaeology Heritage Center.
