From the ancient Egyptian Late Period or Ptolemaic Period, this copper allloy object depicts the head of a vulture with double uraei (rearing cobras) behind, and would originally have been part of the crown of a statue of a a queen or goddess.

The surface of the object is pitted, due to agressive techniques employed at some point in the past to remove corrosion from the artefact
