Vysluni Sonnenberg (CZ) church interior
*This pseudo-Romanesque church was built in 1851-1857 by A. Wild from Prague according to the project of architect Karel Řivnáč. It was 35 metres long and 20 metres wide, with five altars. After the Germans were expelled in the 1950s, it began to decay. In 1959, the last wedding and baptism took place there. After that it was closed and its rapid devastation began. In 1981 it was set on fire by two careless boys from a candle. The subsequent fire stripped the church of its roof and steeple, exposing its uncovered interior to the elements. The highly visible church, sometimes referred to as the Cathedral of the Ore Mountains because of its size, was slated for demolition. * (wiki) The Výsluní kostel church is now popular with filmmakers, inc. Netflix and Amazon.
