This hand-forged wrought iron wagon part is from an archaeological context, discovered during excavations of a c.1848 period lighthouse at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Florida. The pieces were recovered in mitagation work that has now revealed a structural brick wall and other features associated with the first lighthouse at the Cape. This metal artifact has been professionally restored and is part of collections at CCSFS 45th Space Wing.
