Wallace Fountain, Paris - photogrammetry3D Model
Wallace fountain are public drinking fountains which became a symbol of the city of Light, Paris. Designed by Sir Richard Wallace and sculpted by Charles-Auguste Lebourg in the late 19s century, they can be found at various places in the streets and they offer clean water to the local inhabitants. This Wallace fountain can be found in the city district of « la Butte-aux-Cailles » in the South of Paris.
It was quite a challenge because of the highly reflective material of the fountain (made of cast-iron and partially soak). There were reflections everywhere, but I tried to scan it anyway to see if the software Reality Capture could make a miracle with it. It’s my submission to the #CultureScanningChallenge by Reality Capture.
I took 125 pictures of the fountain to achieve this result (with my canon 700d). So, relatively a low amount of pictures for such project.
