More model informationThe Recherche Black-footed Rock-wallaby (Petrogale lateralis hacketti) is known to occur on three islands off the coast of Esperance in the Recherche Archipelago. During the hot temperatures of the day they rest in rocky caverns and caves, during the cooler evenings they come out to feed on the grasses and shrubs that can be found in their rocky habitat. Currently the subspecies is listed as Vulnerable and is under threat from habitat changes, climate change and introduced pest species.
