More model informationThis model shows the crest stone from Schloss Weilburg in Baden, Lower Austria. After the marriage of Archduke Karl to Princess Henriette of Nassau-Weilburg in 1815 he decided to build a castle as a summer residence as a gift for his wife. The palace was desigend by Josepf Kornhäusl in which they moved in 1823. The building had a length of 201 meter. The crest stone was placed on the attica on the north side of the house. In 1945 a fire destroyed almost the entire palace, only a ruin remained. In 1964 they decided to blow up the ruin, only the emblem should be preserved.
