Diodrone completed close visual inspection, aerial survey and visualisation modelling of the Waterfall Cutting (39.950-40.450km) as part of a pilot program for Sydney Trains. Operating the drone inside the 8m wide x 20m deep x 500m long cutting presented its own challenges due to the loss of GPS signal, turbulent air, and the close proximity of the imaging sensor to the target face resulting in a very large data set.
