Weathering knob on Mt Watkins.

A rather curious knob of more weathering-resistant Half Dome Granodiorite protrudes from the summit area of Mt Watkins located on the north side of Yosemite Valley. Material that has weathered is evident in the form of grus scattered around the knob that is about 3’ across. An exfoliation joint is also evident.
