More model informationMy kids love to make ‘machines’ out of cardboard boxes so I thought I’d try and scan one. Well, I guess we can call that a failed experiment :)
Here are my original files - let me know if you got a better result :)
Read how I made this scan with Autodesk Recap in my tutorial!

@angrysinkler9 check out the link in the description - I wrote a full tutorial about it with free tools. Enjoy!
How do I scan Stuff @Bart
@HoangHiepVu cool! Yeah it's a little better, but I guess I'd need better photographs to start with. Any tips for getting the best results from a model like this? Better lighting, perhaps?
Bart, here is the zip file: drive.google.com/open?id=0B9amIJs7MDORem...
@juang3d It's a system of connected levers. The contained only holds one piece of candy (it requires very regular refilling ;-).
@HoangHiepVu I'm afraid I cannot unpack .7z files :-/ Could you zip it please?
Here's what I got, slightly better but not good enough: drive.google.com/open?id=0B9amIJs7MDORMD...
Mmm... It's not easy, Bart. Thin things are almost impossible to scan. I've tried it, and I've got horrible results in any case. Anyway, how does this machine work? It seems you have future engineers at home! :)
@rosa.iglesias it's a fully functional candy dispenser. It requires lots of candy for testing, of course ;-)
@c.m.a haha yeah, maybe I should specialise in 'glitch art!
It still looks quite good thought! I enjoyed looking at the added detail caused by "the failed scan". Maybe it rather qualifies as an art collab within the family than a scan now but still very nice :D.
It feels like it explodes ahahah, so funny :).. kids..
