More model informationOne of two early Christian memorial stones, situated at a crossroads of minor roads leading to Mount and Cardinham. It measures approximately 1.7m high, 0.3m wide and 0.2m thick. This stone has been split lengthwise down the main, inscribed face, so part of the inscription may have been lost. The stone is said by Macalister to bear the inscription ‘ORATE PRO EP iScopus Titus’; he also noted a possible crucifix inscribed above. However, this is uncertain, since the stone has been damaged and the inscription is very worn. Moreover, there is documentary trace of a Bishop Titus. This stone was moved to its current location from Tawna Lane where it was being used as a gatepost.
