An example of elaborate wodwork skills invested in the construction of the well housing. The roof is likely a later modification, but could have been originally built out of foiled metal, which does impact the visual identity of the structure. The effort invested in the walled base of the well, the dates and signatures expressed, note that this structure was regarded with joy by its makers.
