Upper skull and mandible from a Whēkau / Laughing owl (Sceloglaux albifacies). The original specimen is within the collections of the Canterbury Museum (accession number AV16685). Digital bone replica produced by Daniel Thomas (Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Massey University) using a HP SLS-2 3D Scanner with HP 3D scan 5 software (post-processing in Blender 2.74). The size of the bounding box for the bone is 68.7 x 38.8 x 45.9 mm.
