More model informationWhite Caterthun hillfort, Angus, created using aerial photographs from 1997. The hilltop is capped by a great stone fort, the walls of which seem to have stood several metres high and been reinforced by great timbers. Large amounts of stone rubble are spread to a width of 20m. Within the walled enclosure is what appears to have been a rock-cut well, or cistern. Beyond the stone wall are the remains of slighter, earthen ramparts. Read more about the hillfort in the Angus SMR: https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/smrpub/master/detail.aspx?refno=NO56NW0017
