More model informationThis small shipbuilding slip near the foreshore likely dates to the 18th century and was used to construct Bermuda sloops of perhaps 18-25 foot keel and 20-30 tons in size. The line of supporting posts for the stocks is visible on the east side, but the original slip (usually about a foot wide) has been expanded and likely destroyed the stock footings on the west side (only one, by the water, can still be seen). The feature was observed during archaeological reconaissance for InCompass in early 2025
