This is the second of the newly found small wrecks discovered during the NOAA survey of the Milwaukee area of Lake Michigan. It is the last of these new shipwrecks that we photographed this summer. Not much is known about this unidentified wreck which appears to be an approximately 76 ft tug sunk or scuttled with its propulsion system including a firebox boiler and single expansion steam engine, propeller shaft, and propeller. Although the sides of the hull are broken, they are mostly visible on site along with the bottom of the hull. The model was created from 1,238 30-megapixel images shot by Andrew Goodman supported by Kendra Kennedy in the 2025 season. The project was part of a collaboration between Wisconsin Historical Society and GLSPS made possible by gift funding from the “Racine Lighthouse and Maritime Preservation Society.”
