More model informationLocated in Quarter 12 of the planned medieval town of Winchelsea, Rookery Barn is a significant structure; it includes material dating to at least 1540 and possibly earlier perhaps representing remains of domestic buildings known to occupy the site. The early material was later re-used to create a small agricultural/utilitarian building that in turn was converted to the present form in the late 18th century to accommodate two-stall stable, draught animals and perhaps provide cart-lodge facilities.
