Winged Eros Figurine
Greek, 3rd century BC Terracotta; H. 2 ⅜” Tampa Museum of Art, Joseph Veach Noble Collection 1986.143.002
One of a pair, this very small terracotta figurine represents Eros, the youthful winged god of love and son of Aphrodite. Although missing one wing and both arms, the figure retains much of its original pigment, on skin, hair, and modest drapery.
