Winter Well is a cottage site located in the National Trust woodland of Hardcastle Crags, Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
The cottage was abandoned some time between 1861 and 1871. The census records indentify that the house was occupied by the Greenwoods, many of whom were employed in the cotton industry. The census’ read:
