Wmid-68eb00 - Medieval seal matrix

An incomplete vesica or pointed oval lead or lead alloy seal matrix, of Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1400).

The reverse has a complete tab handle. A vertical ridge extends down the length of the seal, beneath the tab handle. The central device is a double fleur de lys / lis, joined at the base, so one points upwards and the other downwards. An inscription is present around the edge, however it is illegible.
