An incomplete copper alloy Wroxeter type brooch of Roman dating (AD 80 to AD 200).

The remains of the brooch consist of the head and bow. The spring, pin, foot and catchplate are missing.

The head is comprised of an incomplete broadly oval flat plate. The lower edges of the plate at the reverse curve upwards slightly to form an enclosed semi circular cell. The bow protrudes from the lower section of the flat plate and is sub rectangular in section and curved in profile.
