wmid-8fb292 - medieval ceramic sherd3D Model
A medieval rim sherd. The colour of the sherd is inconsistent: the salmon inner surface is the most uniform in colour, and the margins are mostly grey save for the top of the rim which is also salmon-coloured. The outer surface has areas of salmon as well as grey, but also features two distinct areas of green glaze which retains its sheen. The fabric is largely abraded and contains abundant grey inclusions as well as quartz. Mica inclusions are more sparsely visible. On the inner surface towards the top of the rim and the margin there is a significant void of 6.1mm in length. On the outer surface, the surface has been broken in a way that reveals a gap between two layers, as though two pieces of clay have been pushed together.
