Old kitchen cabinet in my dad’s bakery. Test of scanning an entire room. I can’t believe how well all that stuff is positioned and rendered from only a few photos (53). I still almost fall of my chair every time I look at this model. I dont even bother to remove the imperfections (ie blobs, floating pieces of wall). They give the entire thing a kind of matrix-like quality. It is like in a painting: it represents reality, but it is even more interesting if the paint remains visible as touches of paint; because a painting is not the same as reality. Here the remaining digital artifacts also make the entire image even more interesting to me.
