World's Largest Ham (VCU_3D_3710)3D ModelNoAI
The world’s largest ham is from a 900 pound (408.2 kg) hog and is from a leg that originally weighed 91 pounds (41.3 kg). Its weight, after it was cured in 1955, was 61 pounds (27.7 kg). It wascured by Jordan Virginia Ham, a subsidiary of Smithfield Packing. This ham is on continuous exhibit at the Isle of Wight County Museum in Smithfield, Virginia. You can learn more about the ham and view it 24 hours every day on Ham Cam (https://www.historicisleofwight.com/). The ham was 3D scanned on June 27, 2018 with a Go!Scan 50. Because of the size and slipperiness of the ham, it could not be moved from its display and therefore the hoof end and one side could not be scanned.. Courtesy of the Isle of Wight County Museum.
