Wow Weapon

Here’s my submission for our latest Game Art assignment! My main inspiration for my wow weapon was the Night Fae covenant and Night Elves! I really wanted to give this forest-y look to it, so I decided to add some nice fireflies all around. I’m not really comfortable with particle effects, so I simply used a plane with an opacity map for the fireflies and animated it in Maya. I’m really happy with the result! This assignment was a lot of fun!
