Wreck ID 44-2 in Strömstad 3D Model
The Swedish National Maritime Museums (SMM) found the wreck during an archaeological investigation in November 2017. The shipwreck was found at 1 meters depth close to a stone quay at the entrance to the bay of Hålkedalskilen.
The shipwreck is completely broken down the sea bottom. Around six meters length of the shipwreck was excavated and samples for dendrochronology were taken. It consists of the bottom and bottom sides of a clinker built boat. The shipwreck is estimated to be from the early part of the 19th century.
