The wreck of the steamer ARES in tha Baltic sea. Swedish steamer of 1151 GRT. Built in Sunderland in 1883 under the name Magnolia. On May 18, 1906, the Ares collided with the Dutch SS Hilversum and sank; the entire crew of the Ares was rescued. The wreck of the Ares is probably one of the most visited wrecks in the Baltic Sea and of course, because it lies with its keel on the light sandy bottom, in only 33 meters of water.
