Xma Ha Ak’al (BE-18)

3D Model

Our map of the recently discovered Maya site of Xma Ha Ak’al in western Belize. The site is extremely remote. In order to make the most of our time at the site, it was rapidly mapped using handheld GPS and with compass and pace. The results of those techniques were then used to create this malarized 3D model of the pyramids and other structures you see.

The tiny black figures are 1.8 meters tall and about the size of a person.
