Story

“Rumour has it there is a strange place, deep in the swamp, reserved for mischievous spirits passing through. A place for them to rest before they once more haunt humankind… if only you hadn’t gone looking.”

This low poly scene, based on my own concept, is a mashup of Western and East Asian influences in architecture and culture. I wanted to create a whimsical, light-hearted scene with a slight spooky edge to it and bring the story I had in my head to life. Also, I’ve been playing way too much Yokai Watch 2 not to create my own spin on this :D

Modelled in 3DS Max, handpainted in Photoshop and I only used diffuse and opacity maps for it.
