More model informationThe building of the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) at Grič 3 in Zagreb was built in 1826 on the site of the medieval Capuchin monastery church of St. Mary whose incorporated facade is visible in the western part of the building and is a cultural monument of the 1st category. Over the years, upgrades and conversions have been made, from the palace of the nobles Jelačić, the City High School, the Women’s Lyceum, the Banski Court (lat. tabula banalis) and the Geophysical Institute to the current function.
The building was heavily damaged during the two earthquakes that hit Croatia in 2020.
